The AquaMan is for sale and is in Portsmouth, VA. She is a 26′ 1976 Bertram Fly Bridge Sportfisherman. This is a rare classic and I can personally vouch for her quality.
The Bertram hulls are legendary.
I have owned this one for close to 15 years. When I got her, she was converted to a single Volvo diesel duoprop. She was a 22 kt boat with that engine and I could fish the Norfolk Canyon all day on 65 gals. She holds 120 in the center fiberglass tank. She has a super large cockpit. I sold the engine for parts when she blew and the boat has been sitting on the hard ever since.
The exterior, including a new hard top, curtains and riggers was redone in 2004. She would go good with another I/O or a bracket with outboards. She is an incredible sea boat and a serious fish raiser. I had built charter style seat/fish boxes in the interior.
When I moved her on to land, I had to remove the top and riggers. I was going to redo all the interior, but got side tracked and here I am :)…
Riggers are garage kept and like new. I have the porta-toilet as well if wanted and some electronics. She mainly needs to be cleaned up and powered. She needs a little other work, but not much. Would make a great little project.
